launching at swan creek or, elanor and milard Tydings park to get on the flats

i found two kayak launch spots on the MD DNR website that put you right around the fishing battery. trouble is I couldnt find either yesterday. At swan creek all the dirt roads were closed and apperently one of them takes you to the water. the other launch area i think is on private property, Father martin ashley rehab center. A gentlemen told me i wasnt allowed down there Anybody know where im talking about? its right of rt 40, oakington rd between hdg and aberdeen

I haven't been to either one but have heard from others that it is quite a hike from where you are required to park to off load. Also heard they are hard to find.
