Matapeake ramp ?

This will be my first year trolling, I was wondering how busy this ramp will be and how early should I arrive.I'm thinkin about 5ish

If it is your first year trolling - not sure opening day is best time to go.

Much depends on the weather - if it's nice , expect very big crowds. If bad - still will be crowded.

IMHO - if you get to ramp around 5:00 , you should be OK. Even if a few boats in line - gives you time to get rods racked , antennas up , etc , plus double check everything.

Often overlooked is Sunday afternoon. I know a few guys who leave about 3 pm on Sunday. The crowds thin out as day wears on and they normally get a limit before dark.

Opening day Saturday in Annapolis / Chesapeake Beach area has to be seen to be believed. I've done it 3 times - never again.
