    Default Opening Day

Went to my Loudoun Co. spot yesterday for the turkey opener. My host said take the top of the hill & I 'll stay down low. Was dreadfully quiet for about the first hour, finally I hear some gobbles from down the hill - sounded like it was right in my buddy's lap ! This went on for 5 min and I realize he's coming up towards me .Well now I figure I'll start to call since it had passed my partner. 3 min later here comes 2 birds & when they see my decoys they start running in. Not big boss gobblers but tough to pass up when 2 birds are right on top of you. Took what appeared to be the bigger one- 16 # and 7 in beard. Out of the woods in less than an hour + a half !
