    Default soft shell or peelers...

This will be an idiot question but I never knew of a difference. What is the difference between a soft shell and a peeler?
    Thanks, Bob

Peeler is pre-shed Softie is post shed. Peeler stage can last a few weeks, soft stage half a day depending.

If you ever get a chance to watch a crab molt - it is well worth it.

Amazing how the crab puffs up after coming out of it's old shell.

Nothing finer - IMHO - then a butter soft fresh soft crab.
What could be more mundane than dying of old age or of natural causes when there is death by misadventure to be pursued ? Skip
