    Kevin,
Don't I know it...my boat draws 11" and you had me aground last year...luckily that was mud. There was no getting off the oyster shells...what I love is that they are marked by a single white PVC pole...oh, and I know they are there and still hit them...that's why I go with the guys not the family normally!!

Mark,The "Trick" is to know what side of the Pole the Oyster Bar is on ! I remember going down there 25 yrs. ago with my Neighbor,he started me Fishing there.Wasn't any Poles, only sticks or small Tree branches marking the Bars.I asked Him what the Hell were Tree limbs stuck in the water for?...That was at High tide. When the Tide got low......I said Holy Shit!! That could really hurt your Boat!! A couple yrs. later ,We were coming back in at low tide and saw an I/O Boat up on a Flat...We both looked at each other in astonishment, damn thing was so far up in the Flat...That It looked like the ONLY way it could have got there was by a Helicopter dropping it there!!

Great thread, great story. God Bless those salt of the earth watermen. Thanks for sharing.
    This is a heartwarming story.

comment: I choose to see the best in folks, I am so glad that you were able to give the watermen the credit and respect that they obviously deserve. We need more folks to tell the good that watermen do. Most thankfully tom granger glen burnie.

I'd change the title of this thread from Crazy to Great.
