Boaters Warehouse Norfolk - Now Open in Janaf Shopps

Went in search of some items for my boat, found Boaters Warehouse is now open in Norfolk at Janaf Shopping Center, on Va. Beach Blvd.

They took over the former Friendlies Location. The service was awesome and best of all the prices were decent for the items I purchased.

All I can say is Yahoo!!!

They are still stocking some of the shelves and haven't had their grand opening yet, but they definitely have a good selection of what I was in search of.

They also have a location in Virgina Beach off of Laskin Road in the K-Mart shopping center. They have been open about a year at that location. They really seem to be working hard to be very competitive in both prices and selection. I'm just happy I give my business to a locally owned store and not West Marine. I wish them luck!

I really like the VB store . Tackle, clothes, shoes & boat hardware reasonable priced with a great staff ! Glad to see it .

I would even drive from Gloucester if a Hampton location was opened ...... I HATE West Marine Express over here

You know Brian, I used to feel the same way about the WM express over here, what with the outrageous pricing on some items, but then I discovered price matching a few years ago and now I see there store way differently. Great to have a local store 5 min away that i can get all manner of screws, glue etc etc. Joanne is surprised if i walk through their door without having a printout for a pricematch. Did exactly that for Marelon fittings today-they matched the lowest web price i could find.

I went to the Va Beach store looking for I can't remember what but they didn't have it, they didn't have a good selection of anything and what they did have was minimal and very generic. I didn't like the store and haven't been back, but maybe they have changed so I'll look at the Janaf/norfik store.
