    Default White Perch & small Croaker 5/5/12

    Caught WP & Croaker last night near the Submarine dock at the NRC..

    Thanks GB. I'm glad to hear that the perch are moving in. I cannot use my kayak for another week and a half, but I hope to try some shoreline or wade fishing this week to see if I can find the perch.

    Thanks for the update.. I can't wait to catch some perch and croaker!

    I hope the water has cleared up. Dave and I launched out of Round Bay on Saturday afternoon.. the water was awful. It was a deep almost crimson red with no clarity at all. To me it seems early to have a bacteria/algae problem, but something was definitely up. We went on more of a ride than we did fishin, but ended up over in the Eastern Bay. Water was ocean green, clear, and looked 1000% healthier than the whole western side.

    NRC = David Taylor Naval Research Center. It across from the Naval Academy - on corner of Carrs creek.
    What could be more mundane than dying of old age or of natural causes when there is death by misadventure to be pursued ? Skip
