    Default depth finder

    had my boat out this weekend for some perch and depth finder kept saying low voltage
    anyone know what would cause this

    Bad connections, bad battery, wiring subtandard in size(too much voltage drop), too much load on the electrical system,take your pick.
    Was this while the motor is running ?

    no it was fine while running just when i turned the motor off

    ahhhhh,
    how does the battery check ?

    came with the new motor that i just put on the boat i may have put to light of a wire on it.
    i used 16 ga wire on everything else but went lighter on the depth finder that is probably what is wrong or i
    may not have it grounded it good enough
