I thought I'd taken momma on an 'all expense paid trip to glorious Ocean City' for mother day. So I booked a place on the bayside, around 94th street that has a boat dock for our crab boat. The way I read the regs is that 600' is the limit for the length of a trot line, so I bought one and baited it up. Searching the web, it sounds like the crabs in the bay will be female and that I need to run up into the creeks to find the males.
Does anyone have any experience in Assawomen bay for crabbing and can offer some suggestions? And if not, what about fishing in the bay that far north. The crabbing boat is a small 17' flat bottom skiff, which I love, but it's wet and brutal in choppy water.

Should not be too much going on in the way of crabs in the back bays and rivers yet but you might try fishing. Stop in at Oyster Bay tackle and talk to Sue. I fish the Rt 90 bridge and the Assateage bridge.............Gary
