I think the water is too cold at the cigar. I think our choices are way north, Washington or above or way south toward OI depending on the water. I'll be out there somewhere, have not decided yet.
Anyone think the Cigar has possibilities this Saturday? Other question anyone running offshore out Rudee this weekend?

mike, you going to lay up overnight?
Yes, likely overnight on the washington sat night...looks the southern edge should arrive tonight.

ill be there too i think, from my run up the wall from o.i. call me on 01a "ceviche". can pitch you some skippies for bait if we get some on the way up- if you want.
I think you should head south Mike. It was interesting last weekend, all the wildlife was sluggish all day, then really started to turn on in the late afternoon. If I didn't have such a long trip back would have stayed late. I think it is the season of the afternoon tuna bite.
Actually I may head south. But only because the weather is looking better the more south you go. I hate OI on a nice weekend....going to be a parking lot of boats. I much prefer to be either by myself or just a few buds around. But if there is a bite, I'll get the late afternoon after all the daytrippers leave.

The afternoon is the ticket after everyone leaves. We caught 15 yft yesterday out of OI on Circle Back. 8 were 40 to 50lbers 4 were throw backs. Bite didnt start until 10:30 looked like there was going to be a good bite in the evening. 650 in the blend.
