    Default Rockfish question

The wife and I are buying a house in hatteras, I know the I.O. boat target rockfish in the fall and winter,, how far down do they migrate,, can you catch them south of the point up and down the beach.... I've fished the Va beach fall stuff and on occasion we have run down to duck and kitty hawk to catch them.. Was just courious about trolling the sound for them behind hatteras inlet

I have never heard anyone catching Ocean Rock that far south, for the past few yrs. they really haven't been at Oregon Inlet that good. A few around the bridge but not schooled up like around Ches. Bay. I'm sure the small ones are in the sound at Hatteras somewhere maybe across the sound towards Swanquarter or Washington.
