I went to a place in NC a few years back. www.Bufflalocreekguideservice.com The guys name is Johny Dale. We found him at the Harrisburg Show. The first time We went it was 4 of us. We all shot pigs. The one I shot was 300LBS The second Time we went we only got 2. Its not a Fenced in hunt. Not guaranted. It was alot of fun. His wife fed us like Kings. Check them out. It was a 6 hour drive from Baltimore.

Backwater Boars in Savannah, Ga. Best place there is to hog hunt. You can hunt boars anyway you wish. The Guides name is Anthony. Just type in Backwater Boars on you computer and it will come up. Eight of us went down on a Sunday and left Tuesday with 16 hogs. Eight tuskers got mounted.

We went in early Sept. It was HOT as hell. You only hunt in the eve or in the Morn. The Pig I shot was tough as hell. The 3 my buddys shot were a lot better. They 1/4 up the meat. I took it to Bullocks in Westminster and they proccessed it for me. The sausage was really good. The Hams and Ribs were like eating shoe leather. Good times though. I would go back.

I have been hunting with Rick Grubbs at Waccamaw Outfitters in Hemingway SC for a couple of years. Rick targets hogs in January-March when it is colder, but it is nowhere near as cold as here. For 2013, he has been booked completely since January. There are spots for 2014.

Rick hog hunts on a plantation near Georgetown that is adjacent to Bernard Baruch's plantation. It has some of the prettiest scenery you ever saw in the low country. The stands are usually on land points adjacent to old rice fields with lots of live oaks and Spanish moss. One of the stands is in a live oak arboretum.

Rick will usually get about 25% more hogs than he has hunters, but that is because there are a lot of misses. The hogs come out just before dark and aren't easily visible in the low light. He has a "wall of shame" filled with hundred of shirt taills.

His place is also close to Georgetown, Murrells Inlet and Pawley's Island if you want to mix in some fishing.

does not matter where you go, but make sure the hogs are Russian Boar descent, they taste way better than the average wild hog. we went to place in tennessee a few years ago and everyone who ate the meat could not believe it was wild game. Since then we hunted wild hogs in Florida, ended up giving all the meat away, it was not good, but I guess we were spoiled by the Russians!!
