It's hard to find a hog hunt that is not a high fence. I think they make them fence it so hogs can't get out, breed and tear up property. They have a REAL problem in the south with wild hogs............Gary

For CrabbyHarry: The taste of the meat depends more on age and sex than genetics. A mature male will be inedible. Any big wall-mount boar I ever killed had meat that my dog wouldn't eat. An immature male or female around 80 pounds will be the best pork you ever ate - lean and tasty. A big sow could also be good.
It is even obvious when you start cleaning them. A mature boar will stink to high heaven whereas an 80 pounder will have almost no scent when you are gutting and skinning it.

I have killed feral hogs and Russian boars since back in the 70s when there were only a few of them in the South Carolina lowlands.

If you're not stuck on a guide there is public land near the Alligator River in NC that holds wild pigs. Watch for bears though, haha. There's a few of them. I used to hunt there quite a bit.
