    Default Swan pt evening 5/27

Ed, his wife Mary and I went fishing at 3 pm this afternoon. We had an outgoing tide and southerly wind making it a little bumpy but very pleasant temps. Think we dropped lines in at 3:45
Put out a 7 or 8 rods spread in the upper part of the water column with one deep rod. Mostly umbrellas with small red worms, spoons and storm shads.
We caught 6 throwbacks before we pulled the rods at 7:45 after the weather radio went off twice alerting me to check the weather radar on my phone to see the approaching storm. 2 fish on spoons, 4 on small red worm umbrellas
Beat the storm by at least an hour but better safe than sorry
Water lpoked a lot cleaner than last Saturday at Love Pt, but did see a few dead perch. No bad odors.

Hey Phil...glad you mad it out. Saw the boat was gone when we got in. We just had an island day. A boat sunk the river the evening. I scooped two out of the water. Did you see deckelman's towing the sunken boat towards Cox point when you came in?

Wonder if it was the overloaded boat we saw on the way out. BTW we pulled 3 out last weekend who turtled a 3 man jet ski.

There were 5 people on this boat. I have no idea what size it was. The coast gaurd kept asking me for a description and the only response I could give them was underwater. One of the people I pulled just told me the boat kept filling up with water, so who knows.

The was a pretty stiff south wind....I know it had to be a little bumpy crossing the bay.

There was alot of boat traffic out this weekend in our area. More then last year. I guess people are using their boats again. It's going to be a long busy summer if it's like that every weekend.

When we were headed out, there was a 16-18' trihull that had 7-8 people in it, and Ed made reference to a line from Jaws.
