Thumbs up Severn River Fishing Report May 29 2012

It was tricky Ricky's birthday today so we went fishing and the tide was out going at 5:30 am and little to no wind.We started at Maynadier creek using my 1/8oz feather spinner baits and my 1/32oz Glo-jig under a float about 18" to 24".The bait is still in here and so are the perch, rock, pickerel and the blues are here already. The menhaden are from 3" to 10" already and the perch are from 4" to 12 1/2".The Rock are small 12" and the pickerel was 22 1/2".Most of the fish were found in the shady spots like under the trees and under the piers. We worked here and Hopkins creek and back and caught 58 fish.It was a slow day ,but a good day to be on the water. The winds pick up but in the creeks it wasn't bad.So if you plan to go fishing good luck and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS .............WOODY P.S. All fish will live for another day

Happy birthday Ricky - you're showing your age going fishing at 5:30 am. Years ago - likely you would just be coming home at that time of morning.
What could be more mundane than dying of old age or of natural causes when there is death by misadventure to be pursued ? Skip

Yep, those were the good ol' days Skip.
Wish we could do it again.
    There just memories now.
