Engine repair

Aloha everyone :) I have an old 15 Hp Sea King outboard that has not been started for yrs. It was a really, really dependable little outboard for me for as long as we have had it. I think its a late 70's early 80's model.
I am looking for a reliable mechanic to take a look at this thing , and hopefully get it running again.
The motor is located in Baltimore County, but my Dad is willing to drive to the mechanic anywhere in MD. If anyone knows of a old outboard fix it wizard, please contact me with info :)

I have one like that! It is a blue sea king. from wards. I know where to get the parts too...
just rebuilt the water pump last season.

mine is a 6, and it is reliable too.

Does yours have any compression? that is the first step.

Hi Tom, thanks for the reply. About the compression, I dont know. It has not been started for yrs. Before that I know it ran great. Another thing is the motor is not blue. Its white and red. I looked at pics from sea king and damn, it might be a late 60's early 70's model..Anyhow, Im gonna have my dad give you a call, his name is Al.
