    Default Trailer needs a weld - Kent Island

    Anyone know of a place I can get a quick weld on my boat trailer on Kent Island? A weld broke lose where the front fender section attaches to the trailer frame. Not a big deal but if the back section breaks free It could be a bad situation. From what I know the galvanizing zinc coating can be ground off to hold a new weld, and then painted to prevent rust. I'm looking for someone on Kent Island that can do this easily.

    I had some thing similar happen with a trailer fender but instead of trying to weld on questionable metal - I made a plate from aluminum.

    I drill holes into fender and trailer frame to secure the plate that spanned the bad area. It acted to reinforce the fender as well.

    Held fine for years.
    What could be more mundane than dying of old age or of natural causes when there is death by misadventure to be pursued ? Skip
