It is very hard for me to believe that that gauge, right here around the nation's capital, will be allowed to expire. But thanks for the update, we should continue to pay attention to this.

NOTICE (05/06/05) --Funding opportunities for the Potomac River near Washington (Little Falls) are being actively pursued. We will continue to post a discontinuation warning until a solution has been guaranteed.
Didn't see this a while back so looks like there may be a funder out there, hopefully.

Agree with FF. Thanks for keeping us informed, CB.
Multiply Point of Rocks by 1.2 for a rough estimate.
The department guys were on the Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU last Thursday and they were pretty convinced that the gauge wouldn't be shut off. They hinted that they picked the LF Gauge because it would get a lot of visibility. It was reassuring to say the least to hear them say this since I personally use this gauge quite a bit. I guess funding for water gauges has recently become a front-burner issue for them.
