Throttle adjustment

I have a 21 ft sea hunt with a 150 Yamaha, Im not pleased with the finesse of the throttle at all when just trying to give it a small amount of throttle, it seems as to not want to go with a little bit of throttle so a touch more and it feels like it speeds up too much. Is there any adjustment that would help this or a better throttle system I could upgrade to? Thanks

Have you checked your lines or linkage for an obstruction? It's possible that the linkage is hanging up. You can also go through the adjustment process to ensure the throttle assembly is set within specs. I have the process for a 2007 F225. Not sure how much different it is but if you want me to send it to you I can.
