Would you pay for.......

I come down a few times a year for 3 or 4 days at a time and stay at a friends house. I have try the specs and reds in the sound but never had the time to do a lota wadding. $100 a half half day would be to high for someone like me that had my own waders and tackle. The knowledge would be worth the price to some. I think most of the people that will be interested in that kinda fishing will have their own gear. Not the kinda fishing to be baby sitting someone that doesnt know how to fish.

i would book with you. i take several trips down there a year, mostly a week at a time. will be down early july if you're up and running by then...seriously. good luck if you do try it. could be a cool niche.

Captain Will Smith has just started what sounds like a similar venture out of Hatteras Village. I assume you already have your licenses, although if you don't use a boat that may eliminate some of the requirements--Will does inshore fishing including flounder gigging from a converted pontoon boat. http://www.facebook.com/bakbarsportfishing

I'm wondering if you need to have waders, this time of year? Save a lot of start-up cost. If you buy a bunch, you should rent them even if just for $10. That's a sunk cost. And keep your tackle simple!

I was just down there last week and certainly would have hired you for a day. Great idea and I agree you could go up price wise if you wanted. As for fly fishing the knowledge of where to fish is more important than the type of fishing. You could guide a couple of flyguys easy as long as it was known from the outset that this was a guided trip to wadeable spots not a flycasting lesson/ knot tying service.

Heck you might even get into flyfishing at some point. If you did, then money could be had.
