I canít say what you would use, along the NJ coast. But in and around OC MD. I would use bay archive and small menhaden patterns, add any attractor pattern and you should be set. Fish early and late. You donít have to cast far. You can fined stripers and small blues, right in the wash. Both are great swimmers and will move into the wash, chasing bait. Look for the small jetties along the beaches. The predators will use them to trap bait fish against the jetty and beach. When I do fish the beach. I fish mostly at night. The tide is important. I like mid tide to high and the first two hours of out going. Hope this will help.
