Any Rapp Flounder Yet
I am considering giving the flounder a go this weekend on the Rapp. Right now the weather, wind and waves looks like a go. My ability at getting keepers the last few years in the river has not been so great so I am hoping that new 16.5" miniumum will give me an edge. Anybody hooked any keepers so far? I usually go with trolled/drifted dressed jigs. My minnow trap was full of big fat ones a couple of weeks ago so I figure I can load up on those and give it a go.
Tried 2 weeks ago with nothing. Let us know how you do. I have mixed feelings after seeing that fish trap at bridge.
That net is really a shot to to gut on many of us!
I have heard some rumors of 1 or 2 flats being caught.. But, I have been down with stomach/flu bug this week and not been out, so I havn't seen one. This morning is BEAUTIFUL. Hope to at least get down to docks and talk to some that are fishing...
Saw some being cleaned at the ramp.. ( I still have not gone out)
Tried a couple drifts yesterday at #8,drift not very good.Had no action.Wife & I will try again today, the plan is to try the Bridge area.
we are down until the 20th,If we do anything I'll let you know.

I am interested to hear if anything is happening down river around the bridge or even futher east. I look forward to your results. We did light tackle casting for resident rocks the rest of the weekend and had very good results. I will post on that later. Thanks for the heads up and good luck.
tried Gwynn's Island area in 16 ft. sat am, just crabs.
