    Default First Potomac Pike

Nice hot day made for some good topwater fishing. But they refused flys pretty much all day. Kinda odd. Any way count is one on the Potomac Pike for 2012.

We had a critter come right up to boat while we where fishing.

Later the fly hooked up several times.

Congrats on your first Swamp Musky. Some areas on the river are loaded with them this year.I read a report from 1 guy who caught 10 in a day. They weren't giants 3-5 # but he said there's loads of them in certain areas.

FWIW Both snakeheads and large mouth bass are invasive species, check it out with the DNR..
