    Default Today at 42

Got over to 42 around 7:15 this morning and had a good drift. Caught one throwback and one keeper on the drift. Drift slowed and started trolling and picked up one more keeper. Had a lot of short hits. Water was a little snotty this morning but layed down for the run in. I really don't think the color mattered and we used squid and minnows. There were probably 20 boats there all day if that many, but for the spade fisherman, the cell was loaded with boats at slack tide. Great day on the water and getting ready to go out to eat with neighbors, eating flounder tomorrow night. Good luck to all who go.

Frank, thanks for the talk at the Norhtern Neck Anglers Club members meeting/mini seminar. I'm sure the members got some good ideas to put into use for the up coming Target Ship Shoot Out Tournament. This will be the third one of the Club's 10 tournaments this year. The target species are Flounder, Bluefish and Croaker. The tournament dates are June 21 & 22.

Following that we will have the 'BIG' Flounder Bash Tournament on July 21 & 22 for Flounder and Croaker. If you need a HO for that one let me know.

    Frank,
I enjoyed seeing you at the NNAC picnic and appreciate your taking the time to give the flounder presentation at the meeting. I have some good news for you. Your ticket was drawn for the member's door prize - a gift certificate at R W's Sport Shop in Callao. I will mail it to you on Monday.

Glad to see you got a few keepers. I hope it won't be long now before the show up in better numbers. I also enjoyed your presentation on Saturday night and spent time on sunday getting my flounder gear in better shape. I am going to give the trolling a shot this year and purchased 4 20 oz weights from Green Top.

Frank, Thanks. I better only do one day. The last time we were out I was dead tired when I got home. I've made some good progress, but still have a ways to go before I have the stamina I need for a whole weekend. Put me down for Saturday, July 21st if you don't mind. Dave

Mushy, If you are going on June 22, I'd like to go with you. I'll be down at the Rivah that weekend for a friend's wedding on Saturday so that would work good for me. Please let me know. I'll be at the Rivah tomorrow through Saturday so just leave a response here to this thread for me. Thanks Dave
