Balt. Canyon 6-9

Went to the Baltimore with a 5 man crew. My son Greg, Eric (mate) Dan, Steve and John. Started on the troll around 5 AM and had the first one on at 7:30. It hit our Stretch 30. Ten minutes later, John had the 40 lber to the boat for Eric to stick him. We set back up and trolled on the outside of the ledge north. There was warmer water out there but we didn't mark many fish. Heard of the bite happening back inside the Baltimore so we turned around and headed back there.
At 11:15 we had our second on. It hit our WB 9" bird with a GM. Time for my son to take his first turn at a YF. Greg takes the rod and does a great job of getting the 50 lb. YF to the boat for Eric to stick. We put the spread back out while I was making a big circle to go back over the area again. We were putting the last 2 baits over when WHAM, same rod Greg caught his on gets hit. Dan takes over on this one. He fights it for 10 minutes or so and up to the side of the boat. Eric has the leader and Greg the gaff man this time and all of a sudden, the YF gettings his second wind and takes off about 30 yards. Dan does a good job of getting him back the boat a second time and Greg sticks him and this 60 lber is in the boat.
We trolled for another hour or so with not another knock down so we decided to do a little offshore wreck fishing and came up with 6 good seabass.
We went 3 for 3 on the YF and everybody got a side of tuna.

Thanks Ken. I bought that bird from you this spring at the Deale flea market. Boy did it work Saturday for us. That will be in my spread every time from now on.
