NICE catch! Thanks for the report.
Went out with Mike (Mwills98) and Darrell for some spades at CLT on Mike's rig. First trip of the year out there, and first time for me and Darrell at the tower and spade fishing. We anchored up and within 4 mins Mike showed us how it was done and landed a nice spade. It was game on after that until we ran out of bait. Yes, they are deceivingly hard fighters! Serious pullage! Mike also got one with the Hawaiian sling. Saw a cobia in the distance (didn't chase because we were on the hook) and a 4ft barracuda who wouldn't take a live croaker that I dropped on his nose. I don't get it!? We caught a limit of spade and headed back to the CBBT to look for cobia. Conditions sucked and all we saw were rays (100's) and a small school of sheepshead.
Fun day on the water as always. Still looking for that first cobia...

Nice work guys, Darrell kept sending me updates.
Sweet stuff
Nice work guys....
Good job
we smack them in the head that day chris...the best part was sight casting them off the tower! that was a blast!
Nice, thanks for the report, how far out the bay is the tower?
Sight casting for spade! That was good stuff Darrell.
Ghostle, it's about 16 miles off of Cape Henry, depending on where you're coming from. Quick ride if the seas are right and your not looking for cobia.
Nicely done guys! Too bad the weather is going to blow this weekend.
