Default Question bout all the theiving going on round here.

I know we have a large network on TF but it seems we get our fair share of thieving and maybe a little more. Do ya'll think the thieves may be using TF forums to pick their victims ? I know I'm not the only one that's thought of this. Maybe we should start a reward fund.

Combine TF posts with Facebook activity and it can be too much information. My daughter encouraged me to get on Facebook, but I rarely post and have thought of closing out my account totally or limiting to family. I am not against progress at all, but some of it can be damaging. We have to be thoughtful and selective what we post anywhere on the net.

I have no idea if this provides theives useful info but it could be.

Theives by definition are stupid. Sure there's one or two here and there who would do the research, but in general they are looking for their next high.

Motion-activated alarm for boat (although I would probably forget about it and set it off)
    "Boot" type device:

These people are stealing for dope and money. If things get worse they will be stealing because they are hungry.

You can buy Lo Jack recovery systems for trucks, autos, motorcycles and now for lap tops. Why not a system for boats?

We have the Boat Nanny system on the boat that has motion sensors and also sensors if the boat is taking on water. Texts us everyday letting us know all is well.
