    not to ask a dumb question. im assuming that was caught in fresh water. do they taste any different vs saltwater

    Probably saltwater fish, season just ended 15th. Looks good!

    I can tell a noticeable difference between s/w and f/w rock fish... I like the s/w rock better.

    Shhh--Some people like the flavor of gizzard shad in their rock meat.I prefer the hint of flounder and blue crab. I'm a Virginian surrounded by North Cackalackians,and they do not have the sizzle of the Late War in their veins the way a Virginian does.I carry a "leave me the hell alone philosophy" and they counter with "jus' go along to git along",and I say "I'd rather DIE than kowtow to your whim",and they say,"...but Gov. Perdue says..."--AND then we have a fight to the death.
