    Start at the edge of the rocks on the East side of the bridge (where the bridge meets the island) drift east with the tide and fish with squid (some use fishbits) on a bottom rig with around 4oz of lead. That shound put you on some nice size fish. If that doesn't work for you move over on you next drift (to the south) till you find them. They are there......

    If i put in at 16 st. ramp and fish around the MM in my 16 ' jon boat in the day time do i need flares ?

    I am not sure Bass Man... I have a 18' deep V and am required to have them, there is a inter coastal cut off line some where up river but agian I do not know the exact law, I just know I gotta have em...

    Ok so here is the report. Caught about 75 on the north side of the channel. Seemed to be better quality close to the bridge in about 35 ft of water. Squid and shrimp did about the same. First time out of that ramp and very nice and close. I bet it is crazy in the fall for rockfish. Thanks for all the info this site is the best.
