So, this is my first report on TF. Been reading reports forever and figured its about time I start contributing.

Got out friday morning solo for my first trip of the year. Ran 20 traps between 6:00 and 12:00 and cought 33, kept 32. The one throwback was missing a third of his shell... not sure how he was alive, since I could actually see his gills exposed. It was slow, but a beautiful day and each crab was large and heavy.

Thanks for the report. What were you using for bait?? I'm thinking about buying bags and using clams for the 10 traps I sometimes use along with my trotline.

I've never tried clams, always been chicken necks for me.

slashmaster try stuffing them with cut up white perch. i did it last year and they definitely work better then necks. thanks for the report neptune. im running out tomorrow morning with traps around riviera beach. going to crab n watch the ships leave.

i went out tuesday from 5am-1030am w 30 traps w necks and only got 2.5 dozen. a few too small n 1 female.
