Greetings, Thank you for your service.

I understand that the County is considering putting a boat ramp in at fort smallwood. Good idea. Wise to attract boaters and fishermen to the county.

I favor that project. It is an ideal location. As a fisherman, I note that there are few boat ramps open to the public in that area. It is a short ride to "7 foot knoll" and the " White Rocks".

It will make AA county a better place. More money will be spent in that area of the county. Gas stations, food places will earn more money. Fishermen and recreational boaters will benefit. Fees at the park will go up. There is no down side.

Remember Maryland is for crabs. Thousands of people will benefit. It is a worthwile expense. Thank you for your support. I do pay attention, and I vote.

While I am on this soapbox, I want to say that I sent a similar letter [ 17 may ] to each member of the County Council, and received ZERO replies. Each letter was emailed, and a paper copy was mailed. What if anything is happening at 44 Calvert Street? Thank you, for any responses that your office might be able to provide.

I would like to know the status or progress on the boat ramp. Will it be built? Will it be usable in my lifetime. A letter back from your administrative assistant would be satisfactory, and appreciated.

I support the libraries of AA county, They do well.
D. Gansler is doing a good job protecting the fish.
Why are corporations allowed to sink barges and vessels in our rivers? Why is Curtis Bay a graveyard for rusting barges, and the hulks of commercial vessels?

I am furious that the irresponsible Sewage People - and our " Leaders ", cannot stop the sewage " Spills " and the pollution of the River and the Bay.
The 100 Million gallons of raw sewage, that mysteriously got into our river recently, did a lot of harm. Do you agree or disagree?

The citizens of Maryland deserve better!

My comments are intended to spur some action, not harm any particular individual. Forgive my impatience.

This is great news. I just read about this in the Voice or the Gazette the other day. Any idea on the estimated completion date?

Sorry for late reply. NO, no idea of completion date.

However I have talked to a nice person in public works, who is like a program manager. I was told that the " Design work " was progressing.

boat ramp fort smallwood

The fort smallwood boat ramp is in the design stage. I

was told by a nice lady [JV] on 14 dec, that the design

is 33% complete. Construction is estimated to be

starting in 2014.
