    Default fisherman's island flounder?

When I drive over the Fisherman's Island bridge I see what appears to me to be prime flounder grounds to the east. Seems like the southside boats, however, stick with the CBBT, and not many boats in there.

Any reason why it wouldn't be productive? I'm planning to run across Sunday morning to meet the high tide . Any intel?

What's the bottom like in the big wide area where it opens to the ocean between Fisherman's and the next island (Wreck?) north?

Yes its good flounder fishing over around the island on the inside, if the water is clear , it often isnt, fish are usually on the smallish side or just legal.
Its not so good though that you would want to run from the southside to fish it unless you just want to get away from crowds, in doing so most of the time you would run accross better fishing to get to that area.
If you fish it some and get the area dialed in good catches can be made..

I fished it a couple times several years ago. It's pretty shallow in there so I would try to catch an incoming tide, would usually pull 4 or 5 keepers out of there.
