I fished a day this week with a few friends on the Loch for Picks.It was slow to say the least.We caught a few Picks , a crappie & a yellow perch.The sad highlight of the trip was when, Ty,an 8 year old,up from Fla.who fished with tony,his grandfather & myself lost an honest 5# Pick boatside.I didn't bring a net and as I slid my hand down the leader so I could grab the fish,he chewed the leader off.It would have looked like a world record being held up by the small 8 year old.We fished from about 7 am. til 10:30 when the mercury past the 90deg. mark.I've got to get an umbrella so I can fish all day in the heat to continue my quest for a trophy northern.6 years ago,the DNR shocked up a 30 # + Northern from the Lake.
