My port lenco is acting up on my 02 proline. I am going to replace both soon. All you have to do is find the cables that go to each tab and put 12 volts directly to each tab. They should go up hooked up one way and the opposite the other. If they dont its the tab its self. The people at lenco are good people to talk to. I am doing it my self.

Sometimes they respond and sometimes the red lights flicker on and off and cut off, concerned it may be the "control box" under the dash.

I've had trouble with one of mine (port also) and was told it was the switch; bought one and it wasn't the problem. Usual problem is at the splices in the wiring--my previous owner replaced the port and cut the wire to do it.
Now it seems to hang and when it runs, it's weak sounding. Sometimes I tap it (like you do a starter on a car) and it works. I suspect the motor is going. No matter what they say, nothing is watertight and electrical stuff and salt water don't play well together.
I have also heard that Lenco is good to work with.

The trim tabs on my Fountain are K Planes but if they work like mine they have relay solenoids. I have replaces the solenoids twice already on mine in 6 years. When they go bad they sometimes work and sometimes not. Pain in the butt!!! If you play with the wires most are coded. Green(grass down)-makes planer go down. Blue(sky up)- make planer go up. Red and black we should know. Hope it helps. Martin

I got the lenco too, sometimes when I start the boat the LEDs go out and they dont work, cut tteh engine, restart and they do, check your grounds and battery charge, that seemed to solve my issue.
