    Northern Neck Anglers Club

    Target Ship Shootout Tournament Results


    The Northern Neck Anglers Club "Target Ship Shootout" Tournament was conducted over the weekend (June 23-24). The tournament was sponsored by Surfside Bait & Tackle of Mechanicsville VA along with the NNAC. Top finishers were:

    Flounder
    First Place - Frank Brewer of Williamsburg VA - 4 lbs. 10 oz.
    Second Place - Matt Bruington of Mosely VA - 3 lbs. 9 oz.

    Croaker
    First Place - Barry Smith Jr. of Prince George VA - 1 lb. 13 oz.
    Second Place - Barry Smith Sr. of Hopewell VA - 1 lb. 8 oz.
    Third Place - Jan Jamrog of Heathsville VA - 1 lb. 2 oz.

    Bluefish
    First Place -Paulette O'Connor of Manassas VA - 1 lb.
    Second Place - Jan Jamrog of Heathsville VA - 12 oz.
    Third Place - John O'Connor of Manassas VA (tie breaker) - 11 oz.

    We encourage Club members to take photos of their catch for the Club WEB and recognition, but many may not go to that trouble. We use 10 different weigh-in locations. Our club photo enthusiasts are not always around to capture the moment. If any pictures are available, we'll send them to you.

    Brandon,
    There were pictures taken of both of the winning flounder for first and second place at the marina. I have asked that they send me the pictures and if they do I will try and get them to you. I have tried to post pictures before and was not successful at doing it. As soon as I get them I well give a try.
