    Default Washington Overnighter (kinda) 6/24-6/25

Left OC inlet at about 4:30 pm Sunday afternoon to FLAT conditions... Arrived at the Washington tip at about 6:30pm or so, Set the spread out and we r fishin by 6:50... My boy Trent Hartman looks over n sees some whale action, I turn, we go past about 4 sharks, 1 Mako and huge whales then all hell breaks loose.... 3 rods go down, 1 let go right away and 2 hold tight sceeeeeeeeeaming the 50s.... We also had an 80 out that was not touched.. After a few mins one pulls but 1 remains, At 10:10pm we gaff a 223lb big eye ......
Stuff him in the cabin and ride home as we used all the ice to pack him, Arrive back in OC at about 1:30am... All I wanted was some Dolphin

Those 50's look like a big reel until a beast comes calling. The sound the reel makes is unreal.

Congrats on gaffing the slob - that had feel great getting it after that long a fight.
