    Default Stand up rod extension

All my rods are stand up but my boat now has a chair. I don't want to get all new rods. Any help for this problem?

Quite honestly, stand up rods may be an issue as they are designed to fish from the edges of the boat given the angler lifting power with less fatigue. Certainly try longer butts, but(!), they may not work well when leadering a fish with some weight, the tips will be too fast (flimsy) especially if you have 30-80 class rods. Butts will cost $50-80 depending on the manufacturer. Hope you find a low cost way of keeping the gear intact.

You have to think about multiple hook ups. There is only one chair. If you get a triple header on, you need to be prepared.

I just put a chair in and same dilema. Don't want to change butts because we will still do 80% stand up. We fabricated, but you can probably buy a flip up reversable gimble that has, like a six inch extension when it is flipped.
