Default This month begins the reduction in reef building in Va.

July is the beginning of VMRC's reef construction budget cuts. The funds generated by the self sustaining recreational fishing industry is now no longer slated to be invested in the business that created said funds. So if VMRC is no longer adding new reefs to the Va water column where is the money going? If you look at the budget cuts/ appropriations for Va you'll find that taxpayers are paying for the miss managed commercial oyster industry. While we have seen in the news that it has been deemed a success, Rotational harvest and the Put-and-take method is clearly non sustaining and costing people even if they don't eat oysters.

Bottom line: You buy a recreational liscense to fish- VMRC hands it to the commercial oyster industry as " financial aid ". If the oyster industry was managed properly they wouldn't need to pass out welfare funds.

Va's oyster management has "managed" only one thing " fooling everyone including the Govenor".
