We got out at on the water with our trotline just at sunrise and worked a back cove for an hour or so. Tons of smalls but very few keepers, so we moved out into a deeper channel in Prospect Bay. Still a ton of immature males and a few jumbo females, but we picked through them and kept only the 6" or better crabs. Packed up at 10:30 to avoid the heat with over half a bushel of quality crabs.

Certainly slower than previous years but hopefully the smalls will pay dividends in the fall.
