Nothing Like Humble Pie
After the weekend I had a week ago below the bridge, I finally fealt like I was getting the LTJ thing down, maybe even understanding it.
Went out Saturday AM after the storms and found nothing but smaller marks mostly scattered. There was the occasional "better mark" syndrome but nothing seemed hungry. Worked a few hours below the bridge and then packed it in. Managed one 16" throwback and the guy with me managed one about 12-14" that inhaled a Gulp Jerk shad. Lost one that might have stretched to 18" on a Zoom White Ice shad hotrodded in Chartreuse.
Most boats seemed to be riding and searching.
No keepers. Perhaps the storms Friday night messed them up.
Might be the last trip for awhile since I head to OC this weekend for vacation. Time to harass the flounder. Got some Spro look-a-likes poured up. Gonna' try jigging them.

"The Chesapeake does not impress those who know it best as the grandest or most of anything. For all its size and gross statistics, it is an intimate place where land and water intertwine in infinite varities of mood and pattern."
