Hot Sunday Report

Sun was brutal and LGMouth tough to get too bite. Did some flipping and did real good in heat of the day. Then as the golden hour approached the LGMouth looked up and we had two doubles and almost landed a monster Potomac Pike. A lot of nice chunky LGMouth caught.

The Bass fishing has been outstanding the last few days'I wonder why?A guy beat me to my favorite predawn spot this morning and landed a 7.5#r before sunup.I saw him catch the fish.'anyway,the reason I posted wasn't to cry in my Beer.I was recently reading that holding a fish horizontal can break or dislocate it's jaw.This seems to be a very popular Bass tourney pose.You have 2 good pictures to demonstrate the right & wrong way,althoiugh the 1st.picture isn't too bad of an angle,the second piicture is the right way to hold a fish for a quick pic.I've watched alot og guys lately hold their fish out of the water way too long for a photo session while fumbeling for their cameras and making timely adjustmemnts.Have your cameras ready to go and hold thsat fish verticle like pic.#2.Put it back as quickly as possible.

Every time I see Bill Dance hold one of his (or Charlie Spence') stocked pond fish like that I think of how much pressure is on the fishes jaw.
He has more experience than most ever will but he still holds fish like that.....still doesn't make it correct.
