After helping my brother build a parking pad at his house, we have been rebuilding and leveling the parking pad where I park my camper. We built the retaining walls and had planned on getting fill dirt from Arnold Farms on Ritchie Highway 5 tons at a time for $20/ton with FREE delivery to Annapolis. When I got the first 5 ton load they saw the size of the area I was filling and said they would give me a full 20-21 ton load for $250....I couldn't pass up that deal ! The dirt had a high clay content so after spreading and compacting it I decided that I didnt need a layer of CR6 for bedding.

I probably have 3-4 ton left over that is FREE if anyone would like to come to Annapolis to get it.

We then figured we would get #57 blue gravel from Maisle Brothers in Glen Burnie at $35/ton, figuring I would need about 6 tons. Instead, we found a small family run business on Ft Smallwood Rd. called GreenTrax that sold it for $25/ton. My only problem with them was you need to schedule a time to pick up what you want so they can be sure to have an operator at the office to load you.

I would highly recommend both Arnold Farms and GreenTrax....they both saved me a fair amount of $$$$.
