    E15 Clears Final Regulatory Hurdle

Contrary to numerous studies showing economic and consumer detriment of fuel with more than 10 percent ethanol, EPA approved a plan submitted by the ethanol industry to address residual fuel that may be left in gas pumps that offer both E15, or gasoline blended with 15 percent ethanol, and other fuels. That step "knocks down the lone, significant regulatory hurdle standing in the way of getting E15 into the marketplace," trade groups Growth Energy and Renewable Fuels Association said.

I've been hearing on the TV news that a huge area in the middle of the country known as the "corn belt" is suffering severely from the heat and drought. There's a chance of a major decline in the corn crop this year... guess we shall see how this impacts the ethanol industry.

Will impact food prices much more. The corn farmers will sell every last morsel to feed our BS ethanol SHT. Then no feed corn. Food prices skyrocket.

Exactly, before ethanol in gas, food prices were much lower, gas prices were much lower, simple supply and demand. Now with ethanol in gas, we have increased the demand by a huge amount. Everybody suffers, including the environment, except for the corn farmers and their lobbyists and supporting politicians.

Kinda like Omega, not the good of the whole, but the good of a few. The way the US is now. Really sad.

naw, the government will just pay them more because they can't grow enough Corn!
We're all in trouble folks !

It's not just cattle Gary, virtually all livestock feed has corn in it.
I used to pay $9.00 for a 50# bag of chicken feed, no it's almost $15.00!!!!
This is just another economy killer.

Not disagreeing with your concern about farm subsidies for ethanol producers, but ethanol has been in gas for nearly nine years. I sure hope food and gas were less expensive almost a decade ago.

Everything is just fine here, I hope you and your family are doing fine. I was light tackle trolling today and one guy caught a 25" on a bucktail. I hope to post a report later.

Hope to see you on the water one day.
