Getting ready for the NNAC Flounder Bash

I will be fishing with the TBear on the Saturday of the tournament. The last time I was out with Frank I had the misfortune of having the main gears in both of my Penn 230's to blow up. Turns out they were just cheap junk to start with and not really worth trying to rebuild them. So I bought a couple of Penn 330's which I believed would stand up to the type of fishing we would be doing during the tournament. I took the wire line and backing off of the 230 pos's and put it on the 330's. I will be happy to give the 230 junk to anyone who would want them for parts.

I got a real good deal on one of the 330's from Surfside Bait & Tackle in Mechanicsville. I told Robert that TBear won the Flounder species in the Target Ship Shoot Out Tournament that Surfside sponsores for the NNAC. Sad news from there was that Debbie was in a car accident and injured. Her pickup was totaled. She was rearended and slamed into the car in front. Robert showed me some pictures of the damage. Not good.

Dave I'm glad you got some new reels but Tbear gave away all his secrets at the last members meeting and I took a lot of notes. We will be dragging 20oz of weight looking for that citation.

I was at Surfside bait and tackle Thursday and I guess it was Debbie I talked to. She was very nice and I thanked her for sponsoring the tournament. Sorry to hear about the accident. Hope she is OK. Picked up a few nice things for the upcoming tournament. Looking forward to it.

I've not been on the formum much of late and sure am sorry to hear about Debbie. Lets all support them and buy as much stuff at Surfside as we can. They are great folks and have been a tremendous resource for me since I got into Salt water.
