    Default Cobia in an underwater dome

    Was reading an article about raising fish in their natural habitats using giant spheres underwater...

    From what I have heard from some folks who have raised cobia for the restaurant industry, they get A LOT bigger in captivity. That is, if they let them grow that big before sending them to market. Pretty neat stuff.

    Cobia are very fast growing fish and are farmed all over the place. I believe there is a huge farm in the western part of virginia. Virginia Cobia Farms

    Interesting article, thanks for posting. And while I've not had the pleasure of catching one yet, but have tasted some that a friend caught and it was very good. But I can't recall ever seeing Cobia on a restaurant menu. Is it called anything else (aside from the man in the brown suite)?

    It may be called Lingfish or something like that on the menu. I do know they call Cobia lemonfish down South.
