Prettydecent day. I had 2 on live spot and the other 3 were on gulp. I ripped the spot out too early on a couple of really good bites, thinking about trying a stinger hook of some sort. 2 biggest were 21", one on gulp and one on a spot. All of them were caught in 11' of water or less, only had 2 throwbacks.

Choco.....spot has been the ticket for quite a while...I run 50lb braid for a main line with a fishfinder slide-----bead and barrel swivel to a 40' section of 20 lb floro----4/0 light wire circle hook. Let um eat in free spool for 20-30 seconds, then lift and see if they are still licking...if so, they are done for!

Yup...thats me! Usally have the rod in 1 hand and the net in the other. The flounder bite was crazy this weekend. Fished friday evening and limited out (3) on the boat and sunday with (4) on-----flounder up to 25'', short stripers and a few trout as well.

Great thread, like to see how everyone else rigs them...I can't seem to catch any spot smaller than 5-8" in Wachapreague this year. In the past we never had trouble getting smaller ones, has anyone else had this issue? We started running a stinger hook to the larger spot but I'd much rather find a nice mess of 3" spot with the more difficult fishing this year...
