Fort Lauderdale Fishing on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak

Today on board the Happy Day Today with the Topshotfishing team out of Fort Lauderdale FL we had the prominent Dr. Joseph Bush and his lovely wife, Brenda, from Pennsylvania. Joseph, who is a personal friend of mine, has fished with me many times in the Bahamas. One of his outstanding catches was in the World Cup at Boat Harbor where he landed a 451 lb. Blue Marlin and a 459 lb. Blue Marlin in the same day. This was Brenda’s first time out deep sea fishing.

We left the dock and twenty minutes later lines were in the water on the drop off that sits in 120 ft. of water off of Fort Lauderdale FL, 1.8 miles from shore. We started off fishing with two deep lines, one with a double hook Mullet strip with a pink sea witch in front, and the other with a double hook Bonito strip with a black and purple sea witch in front. For surface baits we had 4 Bonito strips. Brenda took total control of the cockpit and told Joseph to sit down and relax since this was her fishing charter. Brenda kept busy catching 7 Bonitos, two Barracudas and 2 Kingfish, and did a fantastic job reeling the fish in, while Joseph was the observer and cameraman. With this, Joseph said he had a problem in his hand – he is not allowed to reel in any fish when Brenda is with him!!! Back to the dock at Bahia mar 801 Seabreeze Blvd fort laudrdale Fl 33316
