Default Key Box Road/Inlet/ Local Tackle Shops

Fished friday afternoon at keybox. Had a bunch of spot on fishbites. Winds really kicked up from the ne and hauled in a large bluefish maybe 25". After not being able to hold bottom with 8 oz we swung over the inlet. The birds were working pretty good but more shad then anything. The boy pulled in maybe 20 shad in an hour while I fished for dinner. Caught 2 small snapper blues and a small rockfish.... I hate to have to post something negative about a business, but Old Inlet Bait and Tackle has really been doing some poor business. They had fresh bunker advertised and the guy at the counter told me it was fresh, however after getting on the beach that didn't seem to be the case. I've never had fresh bunker that was so mushy you couldn't even put on the hook. I suspect it was thawed. Also I have had two of their surf fishing rigs break again this year. Even though it was most likely they were sandbar sharks I hooked, I don't feel their rigs should pull apart on maybe a 15-20lb fish. Finally I haven't got a receipt from them for a long time. When I added up the merchandise I got it seemed they had overcharged me. THis hasn't been the first time. I have sent them an email in the past about this. As far as a good tackle shop I recommend Dan's bait and tackle in Milton. Its next to the Valero on Rt 1. I won't be patronizing Old Inlet Bait and Tackle anymore after being a customer for over 20 years.
