Default no tuna/tiles always save the day.

a little bumpy going out with a 7 sec interval, felt more like a 5. almost there & here comes the downpour 5 miles from the canyon. thank god for curtains! other boats running out with us setting up trolling before the canyon. couldn't find anyone talking on the radio about catching & with no temp break anywhere (80 to 80.7 everywhere we went) started to blind troll. one bite before noon that cut the leader on a bl/wht seawitch so it's time to switch gears. as usual the blueline were off the chain. stupid statement from me but guaranteed Robert who booked this there'd be a fish on in 2 minutes based on the fact that in the last 3 years I haven't had a trip without someone hooking up almost immediately & having @ least one cit. on the boat. it took 2 seconds after hitting the bottom. limited out on bluelines in about 1 1/2 hours from about 5 to 11.5 lbs. 2 citations. spent the last hour in 450 to 650 ft of water trying to scare up a grouper/golden but no numbers just hope so no luck. mike avery has all those. never put in enough time between tuna & bluelines on grouper. seas laid down as the day progressed so it was a nice cruise back @ 30-35 knots. took a few pics with one of something a blueline thru-up on the deck. all in all a good day.

Nice work on the tiles Capt Tony. I'm surprised you didn't at least find some gaffers with the hot temps. I think the tuna are pretty much gone, probably at the Hudson Canyon by now.

i knew the tuna were gonna be hit or miss mike & I told them as much but nothing turns a frown upside down like a butt load of tile fish, make that an "oprah" butt load of tilefish.

Nice job on the Bluelines Capt Tony. Some good eats for the crew. I am sure Mike would give you a number or two that is just the kind of person he is. And he didn,t pay for any of the numbers he has LOL.
