2012 Angler's Club Challenge!

Hey guys - just got the official date/entry forms for the 2012 Angler's Club Challenge - August 17th/18th... so we've got some QUICK work to do.

First off - Anyone/team who participated last year has "first dibs" for this years team of 5 boats, give me a call or respond to this thread.

Secondly - Anyone interested in participating as an angler or tournament boat operator, PLEASE respond to this thread.

We'll do the usual "Strategy Meeting" at my house sometime next week.

This, in my opinion, is one of the top tournaments in the state, and is for a GREAT cause: Catchin' for Kids. It's always a GREAT time at the Captain's Meeting and Weigh-In with some fantastic raffle prizes.

For those that don't know the history/format - The tournament was started ~20 years ago by the CCA. All angling clubs in VA are invited to enter a team of 5 boats. Each 5 boat team will target Bluefish, Cobia, Croaker, Spot, Sea Bass, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Gray Trout, Tautog, King Mackerel, Sheepshead, Spadefish (Hooked not snagged). Spanish Mackerel, Roundhead (Kingfish) and Triggerfish. 3 points are awarded to the largest of each species, 2 points for the 2nd largest and 1 point for the 3rd largest. The team with the most points wins.

Tidalfish has participated in this event the past 12 years. And, we'll certainly be there again this year.
